Blue Boy was the
rage!
He had an
absolutely gorgeous head and eye, and was undefeated in his size category.
In 1981 he was
the Reserve National Champion Senior Stallion, both in AMHA and IMHR.
He died around
1986 or '87 when a power line caught his barn on fire during a storm.
It was a huge
loss to the Wagners, who loved and promoted him for many years, but his
foals have continued the winning way that he began.
FLYING W FARMS LITTLE BLUE BOY (30") was a supreme halter
champion and leading sire of champions at the time of his death in l986. He
is still one of the most famous stallions of the breed and a household word
among mini breeders. BLUE BOY bloodlines are among the most sought after in
the world.
Flying W Farms Little
Blue Boy was one of the greatest show horses this breed has ever known!
Undefeated in his class (stallions 30" and under), he was show champion
stallion twenty-nine times during his career and in 1981 was AMHA Reserve
National GRAND Champion Senior Stallion. He was leading sire of champions at
the time of his death in 1986 and among his sons and daughters are numerous
National GRAND Champions, National Champions and National Top Ten winners.
But, most of all, the Blue Boy line is known today for its extreme Arabian
type of miniature horses with chiseled small dished heads, big eyes and big
attitude.
